Fenlin Fenbao Kemi successfully started operation
After a successful trial run, the Fenlin Group's new bio-products plant in Kemi, Finland, was fully switched on and put into production on September 20, as planned.
Operating entirely without the use of any fossil fuels, the Kemi Bio-products plant will produce 1.5 million tons of coniferous wood pulp and hardwood pulp annually, as well as a variety of biomass products and 2 billion kwh of renewable electricity, with the plant's electricity self-sufficiency rate reaching a staggering 250%.
The new plant will be world-class in terms of production efficiency, environmental efficiency and energy efficiency.
