According to Customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2023, China's household paper products continue to show a trade surplus trend, and the export amount and export volume have increased significantly.

In the first three quarters of 2023, the import volume of household paper was about 24,300 tons, basically unchanged from the same period last year, and the imported household paper was mainly base paper, accounting for 83.4%.
At present, China's household paper market is mainly export, domestic production of household paper production and product types have been able to meet the local market demand, import trade has little impact on China's household paper market.
Export
In the first three quarters of 2023, the export volume and export volume of household paper increased significantly year-on-year, continuing the trend of export trade surplus in the first half of the year, and the situation is good.
The total export volume of household paper was about 804,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 42.47%, and the export amount was 1.762 billion US dollars, an increase of 26.80%. The largest year-on-year increase in export volume is base paper, if calculated by export volume, household paper exports are still dominated by finished products (toilet paper, handkerchief paper, facial tissues, napkins, etc.) exports, accounting for 71.0%. In terms of exports, exports of finished products accounted for 82.4% of the total exports, affected by market supply and demand, the export prices of all kinds of finished products have declined.
